Our Wildlife Habitat Recreation Area (WHRA) offers a  variety of ecosystems that can be found in a relatively small area. Tours and field trips can focus on prairie, forest, or wetland environments as well as the ecotones between these major habitats. Visitors can follow our curricula, or we can tailor a tour to coincide with classroom activities.

The WHRA is open to the public every day from dawn until dusk and visitors may walk the trails without guides. Tours and field trips are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis and can be scheduled for the weekend and other non-business hours.  Use the Online Tour Request Form to schedule your visit.
